Orchidland

2019 Orchid Land Presented by the Maui Orchid Society

“Orchid Land,” a word which for years conjured up in the minds of countless Mauians, a display of exotic beauty, and beautiful fragrance. A display to be seen every year during the Maui Fair.

It also brings to mind a sense of awe and reverence that such beauties could present us with so many variations and beauty.

Orchids, one of the largest and varied families of plants in the world will be showcased at this year’s 2019 Maui Fair.

Brilliantly colored and varied flowers will be the hallmark of our display this year at the Maui Orchid Society’s Orchid Land at the Maui Fair 2019.
Don’t miss this year’s beautiful display of colorful, fragrant, and different orchid varieties on Maui. This year’s display represents five arduous days of preparation and labor and will truly be a “labor of love” from the members of the Maui Orchid Society to the citizens and visitors alike. Be sure to stop by Orchid Land in the War Memorial Gym and see the “flowering” of our member’s love and devotion.

This year our orchids on display will be judged by our group of American Orchid Society certified judges and awarded prizes according to guidelines set up for each represented family of the orchids being judged. Judging will take place the Wednesday morning before the fair. We will be presenting a Governor’s Trophy and a Mayor’s Trophy for the Champion and Reserve Champion at this year’s fair.

If you have questions regarding orchids or orchid culture, feel free to ask one of our knowledgeable volunteers who, will be available to answer questions.

Specific information regarding orchids, can be obtained for those interested in learning more about the growth, care and information regarding the orchid family. Enjoy the beauty of the display, while you visit Orchid Land and let a volunteer know if we may be of service.
